Dad's return; Ria.... cow roti
After all the talk about 'Papa coming home' for the last couple of days... when the tires (of the plane) hit the road on 26th, Mom and Dadi stopped at a saari-shop on way to the airport... and Dada and I carried-on to the airport. I gave Dada a really hard time till we reached the airport. And then I saw Dad, and for a minute just stared with him... he gave me a big smile, and I just JUMPED to him!
From then on I was all smiles... and after reaching home I began giving my surprises to Dad one at a time... :-)
By next day he found out about my latest friends - neighbourhood cows :-)
It had started a few days back... when Dadi was going to give leftover rotis to a cow on the street a short distance from our house (believe it or not, the cow is a domestic cow owned by our laundry-man). She took me along, and I loved feeding the cow...
We went to give her roti again the next day, and by the time Dad came, I was hooked on to giving rotis to the cow every morning. I'll pull my Dadi and say 'Dadi, Ria cow roti'.. and off we'll go. One day when there were no spare rotis, I said, 'No roti..... Ria cow bread'... and we took bread instead of roti. Next day we took potato chips instead... and by then there were two cows, a calf, and a street dog all waiting for Dadi and I to come and give them food!
The joys of India! :-)
