Ria's DreamWorld

Welcome to this wonderful li'l world of mine! Hi, I am Ria Sanghvi, a li'l baby all excited at arriving in this world! Unlike you all 'smart and fun-loving' kinds, I like to cry, poop, whine, stink, act cute, suck, laugh, crib, act dumb and wet anything and everything. Here's a glimpse into my world, as I know and imagine it.

Gen-TJ

Gen – X is passé, this is Generation of Tech Junkies – kids born in a world surrounded by electronics who learn stuff faster than ever” – this is what my Dad was telling my Mom after reading some stupid article online. I still don’t know what all the fuss is about. After all, it’s not like I can do any of the cool things the real techies do… all I’m still capable of – is ejecting the DVD tray to check if my fav SRK DVD is in it or not, insert the DVD, switch on the TV, use the remote to fast-forward to my fav songs. Or, use Mom’s laptop to start Windows Media Player, then eject and reinsert my Baby Einstein’s DVD and forward to my fav part. I guess this old generation finds anything we do incredible. But there’s so much more to learn, and I’m already 17 full months old! – Dad, when will you teach me to type my blog myself?

Following Dad's Footprints

My dad visited this place 25 yrs back, and here I was, with my parents aboard Queen Mary, once the grandest cruise in the world. The slight difference now was - instead of only visiting the ship, we actually stayed at the Hotel. It was a lot of fun - Dad showed me all the parts of the ship, along with tons of stories from his own childhood. We went to the forcastle, bridge, monkey-bridge, wheelhouse, anchor etc. The only part we coudn't see was the Engine Room - so that remains due.
